RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

 

1.      Order Cancellations & In-Transit Changes

You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before it is dispatched from our warehouse.

Once a tracking number has been generated and the order is in transit, it cannot be canceled, intercepted, or redirected. Under Delivered At Place (DAP) terms, the buyer bears absolute legal and financial responsibility for destination customs clearance, import documentation, and localized VAT/tax payment. If you refuse delivery at the border, provide inaccurate delivery parameters, or fail to clear local customs within the timeframe mandated by your local carrier, the package will be deemed un-deliverable. Due to the high volume and weight of furniture cargo and international customs duties and complex tax declarations, return freight to China is prohibitively expensive; therefore, un-deliverable packages will be abandoned or destroyed locally by the carrier. No refund can be processed for un-deliverable or refused shipments until the carrier officially closes the manifest and issues a final disposal/freight penalty invoice to Hint & Tint Home Living Co., Ltd. Any approved residual refund will be processed minus outbound shipping fees, local disposal/freight charges incurred by the carrier, and a 15% administrative restocking fee. If these structural costs exceed the total purchase price, the financial account balance will be zeroed and no refund will be issued.

 

2.      Explicit No-Return Policy (Change of Mind)

All hint & tint furniture pieces and bundle packages are batch-produced to order. Because cross-border logistics for high-volume, heavy home goods involve complex customs clearance, port handling, and significant freight expenses, we enforce a strict final sale policy. We do not accept returns, applications for returns, or exchange requests for any reason including, but not limited to, change of mind, aesthetic preference variance, subjective comfort expectations, and buyer sizing misjudgments. All sales are final once dispatched from our warehouse.

By completing your purchase at checkout, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that your order is non-returnable and non-refundable, except in verified cases of transit damage or structural manufacturing defects reported within our strict 7-day inspection window.

 

3.      Damaged or Defective Items

If your product arrives with a verified manufacturing defect or suffers structural damage during international transit, Hint & Tint Home Living Co., Ltd. will resolve the issue at no additional cost to you under the following strict protocols:

Strict 7-Day Report Window: You must fully unpack and inspect your merchandise upon arrival and notify our support team at contact@hintandtint.com within 7 calendar days of delivery. Due to maritime and air cargo insurance claim limitations, any damage or defect claims filed after day 7 will be automatically rejected.

Mandatory Video & Photo Evidence: To initiate a replacement claim, you are strictly required to provide high-resolution photographs and clear video footage demonstrating the specific structural flaw, along with clear media showing the condition of the outer protective packaging.

Resolution & Disposal Protocol: Once our team explicitly approves a structural manufacturing defect (such as severe sheet bending, welding failure, or complete structural instability) or a transit failure via your media submission, we will process the product-value refund adjustment or initiate the replacement pipeline within 3 business days. To eliminate the logistical burden and high expenses of cross-border reverse freight, we do not require you to ship the heavy, damaged metal unit back to our central hub. You are free to retain, utilize, or dispose of the unit locally upon receiving your replacement confirmation.

Industrial Manufacturing Exclusions: Please note that minor surface micro-scratches, slight powder-coating edge variances, microscopic pooling, or tonal variations under localized lighting are inherent to industrial sheet metal fabrication and powder-coating processes. These characteristics do not compromise structural integrity, do not constitute manufacturing defects, and are strictly ineligible for free replacement or refund. Hint & Tint Home Living Co., Ltd. provides international shipping subsidies under DAP terms but does not cover, reimburse, or assume liability for local municipal waste management fees, recycling stickers, or junk removal expenses levied by your destination market's local authorities. All localized disposal costs remain the sole responsibility of the property owner.

 

4.      Late or Missing Refunds (If Applicable)

If an order cancellation or a verified payment adjustment has been approved by our team, please allow 7 to 14 business days for the credit to automatically apply to your original payment method. If you have not seen the settlement within this window, execute the following steps before contacting support:

(a)  Re-check your primary banking ledger or PayPal settlement history.

(b)  Contact your credit card institution or payment processor; internal processing pipelines can delay the official posting of international cross-border credits.

(c)   Contact your local bank to verify if there is a pending inbound wire hold.
