How do I clean and care for the Tilted Book Seat?
The powder-coated steel finish requires very little maintenance. Simply wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and then wipe dry with a clean cloth. Please avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the protective coating.
Does the Tilted Book Seat require assembly?
- Assembly is not required for a single unit. It arrives ready to use.
- However, if you wish to ****stack one unit on top of another, assembly is mandatory for safety. Please use the bolts and gaskets provided in the packaging to securely connect the units at all four corners of each stacked piece. Failing to do so might result in unstable stacking, which could lead to injury or damage to your floor and surrounding furniture.
Where do you ship to?
- Our First Edition of the Tilted Book Seat currently ships to Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
- We are a small studio and want to ensure every international delivery is handled with care. We are working hard to expand our reach to more regions at the most economical rates possible—please sign up for our global waitlist to be the first to know when we launch in your area.
About Shipping
Where do you ship to?
- The Tilted Book Seat is made of powder-coated steel and features durable silicone pads at the bottom to protect the floor from scratches.
How long does shipping take?
- The shipping time varies from 5 to 14 days, depending on the destination and local customs processing times.
- We primarily use sea freight ****(seaborne shipping) and/or ground transport (rail/truck transport). These methods take longer than premium air freight services, but they allow us to save substantial shipping costs, which we pass on to you. We appreciate your patience while your order travels overseas.
How much does shipping cost, and do you have a shipping discount?
- Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your destination.
- Shipping is calculated separately from the product price at checkout. We do this to ensure the most accurate and economical tax reporting for our customers; in some regions, it prevents you from being taxed on the delivery portion of your order.
Will I receive a tracking number?
- Yes. Once your order has been packed and dispatched from our warehouse (within 3 business days), you will receive an email confirmation containing your tracking number.
How will my bundle order be shipped, and how do customs taxes work?
- Each Tilted Book Seat is packaged individually to ensure the safest transit. For bundle orders, you will receive multiple tracking numbers. While the packages typically arrive around the same time, please don't worry if they are delivered a day or two apart by the courier.
- Because each box travels with its own tracking number, local customs authorities process them as separate shipments. As a result, import duties, taxes, and courier handling fees may be assessed and billed to you on a per-box basis upon delivery, rather than as a single combined charge.
Who is responsible for Customs Duties and Taxes?
- Import duties, taxes, and local processing fees are not included in the checkout price. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient upon delivery. Please verify that your Full Name, Local Phone Number, Email, Shipping Address, and Postal Code are accurate before confirming your order.

To ensure your order clears customs without delay, please review the specific requirements for your region below:
For Customers in South Korea:
Please provide your Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC) at the checkout page, to comply with Korea's import regulations. It is a 13-digit code starting with “P” (e.g., P123456789012). You can issue one instantly at: http://unipass.customs.go.kr
For Customers in Taiwan:
Please ensure you have completed EZ WAY (Real-Name Authentication) registration. The name and phone number you enter at checkout must exactly match your EZ WAY registration. Discrepancies will cause the shipment to be rejected by Taiwan customs.
About Returns and Exchanges
What is your return and exchange policy?
- We currently do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind. But we guarantee a free replacement or full refund if your item arrives damaged or defective. (see the following question)
- As a small, cross-border business, we strive to offer our unique products at the lowest possible price. The high cost of shipping the item back, combined with international customs duties and complex tax declarations on returned goods, would result in a substantial financial loss that our small business cannot absorb at this stage.
- We strongly encourage all customers to carefully review product dimensions, descriptions, and stacking requirements before placing an order.
What if my item arrives damaged or defective?
- We will issue a free replacement or a full refund.
- In the case where an item arrives damaged, do not assemble or use the damaged item.
- Contact us immediately at ****[contact@hintandtint.com](mailto:contact@hintandtint.com?) within 7 days of delivery, attaching photos or videos of the damage to the product and the exterior box. We will assess the damage and quickly send you a free replacement or issue a full refund.
- If your local waste management department charges an additional fee to recycle or dispose of the damaged product, we will cover that expense. Please email us the receipt of the charge (e.g., disposal fee receipt, government invoice). We will then issue an equal amount of funds to your original payment account to cover the recycling cost.
